Your local pharmacy can help
You may not always need to see a doctor or get a prescription. Local pharmacies offer many of the same services local GPs do.
Your local pharmacy can provide confidential, expert advice and treatment for a range of minor illnesses. They have private consultation rooms and you don’t need to make an appointment.
If symptoms suggest it’s something more serious, pharmacists have the training to make sure patients get the help they need.

Home visits
If you register with us and you do not live within our catchment area, you will be registered as an ‘out-of-area patient‘. Out of area patients are not entitled to home visits from any of our doctors.
If a patient is housebound or too ill to leave the home they may be visited at the doctor’s discretion. If a visit is needed on the same day telephone: 01922 605260 before 10.30am. Emergency visits only will be arranged after that time. Give the receptionist as much information as possible so the doctor can prioritise house calls.
Your GP can refer you to have a home visit by a community nurse.
You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
